In 2008, the Town of Channel-Port aux Basques embarked on the development of a Strategic Economic Plan that would steer economic and business development for the community for the next five years. After extensive consultations with the business community, governmental resources, resident consultations, and worldwide research, the Town unveiled their strategic plan in September of 2009.
